About the Opportunity

Viltis is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse I to support a leading medical device company in Santa Clara, CA. This position is ideal for an early-career nursing professional with 0–2 years of experience who is interested in occupational health, employee wellness, injury prevention, and workplace safety.

In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to employees, assess workplace injuries and illnesses, coordinate treatment and return-to-work programs, and collaborate with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) teams to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessment, nursing care, and appropriate referrals for workplace injuries, illnesses, and occupational exposures.
• Evaluate employees experiencing sudden illnesses at work and determine appropriate treatment or emergency referrals.
• Coordinate occupational health case management, including treatment plans, follow-up care, rehabilitation, and return-to-work programs.
• Assist employees and supervisors with work restrictions, modified duties, scheduling adjustments, and workplace accommodations.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans to support employee recovery and overall health.
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, rehabilitation specialists, and third-party administrators to coordinate employee care.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and documentation in accordance with applicable healthcare regulations and company policies.
• Provide health education, wellness counseling, and injury prevention guidance to employees and management.
• Conduct workplace health assessments, walkthroughs, and follow-up evaluations related to occupational exposures.
• Support workplace health promotion initiatives and injury prevention programs.
• Partner with EHS teams and management to support occupational health policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor employee progress and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and return-to-work plans.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Nursing education and qualifications appropriate for occupational health nursing responsibilities.
• 0–2 years of nursing or related clinical healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of basic nursing assessments, patient care, and clinical documentation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee health information.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare and safety teams.
• Availability to work on-site in Santa Clara, CA.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Experience in occupational health, employee health, urgent care, emergency nursing, or clinical case management.
• Familiarity with workplace injury management, workers' compensation, and return-to-work programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational health and safety practices.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare documentation systems.
• CPR/BLS certification.

Compensation & Position Details

• Hourly Pay: $35.00
