IEP Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, providing school-based therapy services to children with a wide range of educational and developmental needs. In this role, you will work within school settings to evaluate students, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions that support participation, independence, and success in the classroom and school environment. You will collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, speech-language pathologists, families, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and daily routines. Key responsibilities include conducting standardized and informal assessments, documenting progress, maintaining accurate and timely records, and participating in IEP meetings to share findings and recommendations. You will design and implement interventions targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-care and daily living skills, handwriting, and school-related functional tasks, adapting materials and environments as needed to promote access and inclusion. As part of IEP Therapy’s supportive and collaborative culture, you will have access to resources for continuing education, mentorship, and professional development, helping you refine your clinical skills and grow in your career. You will be expected to stay current with best practices in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy, follow all relevant state and federal regulations related to special education services, and uphold high ethical and professional standards. This position is ideal for a therapist who is passionate about working with children, values teamwork, and is motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational outcomes. The role typically follows the school calendar, with a generally consistent weekday schedule aligned with school hours, and may include both on-site and limited remote documentation or consultation activities depending on district needs. Candidates should be prepared to travel to assigned school locations within the district, maintain strong communication with school staff and families, and contribute positively to the inclusive, student-centered mission of IEP Therapy.
